چکیده
Concrete has good fire resistance. However, once exposed to rapidly increasing temperatures, concrete may suffer from thermal stress-induced spalling or pore pressure-induced spalling. Compared with normal-weight (NWC), lightweight aggregate (LWAC) a low conductivity and is more prone cause higher temperature gradient under the action of high temperatures. This poses hidden concern safety general LWAC structures. Therefore, this study aimed investigate pressure distribution slabs one-dimensional heating tests compare them NWC slabs. The test variables were moisture content specimen (oven-dried air-dried), target (600 800 °C), rate (5 10 °C/min). distributions measured separately by thermocouples gauges embedded in different positions specimen. results show that maximum (Pmax) was generally than slab at distance mm heated surface when an oven-dried state. 30 50 surface, Pmax tended be higher. shows closer state, while occurred further surface. Further, as increased, generated inside rose rapidly. In particular, °C °C/min, corner phenomenon appeared on air-dried slab.

Mechanical and Microstructural Evaluations of Lightweight Aggregate Geopolymer Concrete before and after Exposed to Elevated Temperatures
This paper presents the mechanical and microstructural characteristics of a lightweight aggregate geopolymer concrete (LWAGC) synthesized by the alkali-activation of a fly ash source (FA) before and after being exposed to elevated temperatures, ranging from 100 to 800 °C. The results show that the LWAGC unexposed to the elevated temperatures possesses a good strength-to-weight ratio compared wi...
متن کاملPrediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength
Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method. One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...
متن کاملProperties of Green Lightweight Aggregate Concrete
With increasing concern over the excessive exploitation of natural aggregates, synthetic lightweight aggregate produced from environmental waste is a viable new source of structural aggregate material. The uses of structural grade lightweight concrete reduce considerably the self-load of a structure and permit larger precast units to be handled. In this paper, the mechanical properties of a str...

Estimation of Evolution of Relative Humidity Distribution for Concrete Slabs
Realistic prediction of concrete shrinkage and creep requires the calculation of the distributions of relative humidity at various times. Although the distributions of the relative humidity can be computed by numerical methods from the differential equation for diffusion, simple prediction formulas can facilitate structural analysis. The purpose of this paper is to present a simple formula for ...
